DISTRICT NURSING GUILD.

The following member's were present at a committee meeting of the District Nursing Guild of St. John, held yesterday afternoon: —Mrs. E. Balcombo Brown (acting-president); Mrs. W. B. Tripe, Mrs. J. P. Luke, Mrs. A. A. Corrigan, Mrs. 11. W. Preston, Miss M. E. Robicson, and lira. W. 13. Fisher (lion, secretary). Tha| -monthly report, submitted by the senior nurse, showed that eight additional patients had been registered during April, three; discharged, and two taken to tho General Hospital. Nurses Sexton and Macandrew paid 07? visits to tho sick poor during the month. Tho committee acknowledge the. following additional subscriptions:—Mrs. Burne, i£l Is.; Mrs.' Corrigan, XI Is.; "K.P.," XI Is.; "An Old Nurse," ,£1 Is.; Miss Robieson, «C 1 Is. Gifts _of food, old clothing, etc., were received from the following:—Mrs. Harper, Mesdames Marchant, Luke, Moorhouse, Preston, Corrigan, "A Friend," Downhard, Barraud, Richardson, Ward, Howell, Mason, Gillon, Gardner, Ewin, and the Gear Co. Special votes of thanks were accorded Archdeacon Harner for grapes, which were-distributed among tho district, patients, and also to a lady (through Mrs. Luke) for an air bed, air pillows, an invalid chair, and various articles of clothing.
