THORNDON METHODIST CHURCH. ANNUAL REPORT. In the annual report to be presented at tilt thirty-eighth anniversary celebrations in connection with the Thorndon Methodist Church this evening, tho trustees express regret that the attendance at tho Sunday services has not been sustained, and remark that th.ere is also much room'for improvement at tho weeknight service. The number of members reported on the church roll is 105, the same as last year. The number of scholars attending the Sunday School is 120, the average attendance being 100. The trustees report that tho trust funds have fallen off, and that during tho past six months they liavo not received quite • sufficient to meet current expenses. One reason for this state of affairs is tho small amount of seat rent coming in, and another the fact that tho circuit was not in a position to grant tho usual collections. Notwithstanding the many calls oiy ihem, the members of the congregation responded to an appeal to wipe out the circuit debt of .£sl Bs., enabling the trustees to commence the present quarter with a credit of 10s. 10(1. The thanks of the church are extended to the leader of the choir, Mr. Burd; also to members of the choir and to all who have assisted in the work of the church. Special thanks are tendered to the Ladies' Guild for financial assistance to the Quarter Board in the upkeep of tho parsonage. In conclusion, the report extends a wclcome to tho Rev. C. 11.
