The existing accommodation ' comprise four wet docks and north and south basins, to which cntrauco channels have been dredged. The quays are 1 to have a total length of 3270 yards and the depth of water in tho docks is about 23ft. !)in. at low water. It is now I proposed to construct a scries of tidal basins at the north end of the present docks, rlie water area of tho present docks is 174 acres, and the new basins will add something like 200 acres. Provision is to be made in tho basins for a depth of 30ft. at low water, and the entrance channels aro to be deepened
