SITTING IN AUCKLAND REFUSED. (By Telegraph-Press Association.) ' "" "Auckland, May 1. Mr. J. S. Dickson, chairman of tho Knyvett Defence Committee, this afternoon received the following telegram from tho Adjutant-General, Wellington:— General Officer Commanding resrets that your request for the Court-mar-tial to sit in Auckland instead of Wellington cannot bp acceded to. The expense of a limited number of witnesses relevant to the charge or to character will be paid to and from Auckland." iMr. Dickson remarked that 'the committee v;as not satisfied with the nature of the reply from headquarters, and will continue to agitato in favour of the trial being conducted in Auckland.
