Messrs. Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., report that at their i'ciluins sale on Friday. April £8, only a. small entry of both sheen and cattle came to hand. Sheep sold at improved prices, and there was a slightly bettor demand for weaners. Quotations:—Forward OWC3, 10s. 6(1.; heifers running with bull, £3, £i is. 6d. to £<1 175.; dairy cows, to £5 10s.; empty cows, in Rood order, to £3 135.; wcanfcr steers, small, to 2?a. 6d. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 00.. Ltd., report for the week ending April 29. as follows:—At Apiti on Tuesday, we had a. good entry of both sheep and cattle. Sheep made low values, but vendors were prepared to meet the markot. Cattle Gold well. A good line of 230 ewe lambs, on account of Mr. H. 31. Hayward. made Es. £d. to 9s. Id.; low-condition ewes, in lamb, 4s. Id.. -Is. 3d.. 4s. 9d.; forward empty ewes, 7a. 9d., as. 6d., 10s. Id.; small owe lambs, lα. 6d.; o-.vc lambs (sood). Us. 6(1. to 9s.
