HE, HUGHES REPLIES TO MR. HOLMAN, By Telegraph—Press Association-Cooyrleal Melbourne, Anril 29. Mr. W. M. Hughes (Federal ActiugPrimo Minister), referring to Mr. Holmau's (Acting New South Wales Premier) reported statement regarding tho refereuda proposals, that it was not in accordance with the Labour platform, declared that the question of the interpretation of any plank in the Federal platform was exclusively for the Federal party. "Mr. Holman misunderstands his position," added Mr. Hughes. "He has no status except as a member of a State Labour organisation." THE VOTING IN WEST AUSTRALIA, Perth, April 29. A block Labour vote on tho West Australian goldfields swamped the voting in the coastal and agricultural districts, which were against the proposals.
