(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Palmerston, April 25. As a protest against their treatment by the Wanganui Education Board, no committee- was elected at Ashhurst. 'Die following resolution was passed: "That this meeting of householders protest to tho Wangaiiui Education Board that an inadequato amount has been granted to the committee for carrying out ordinary and necessary work, and that tho unpaid account for last year be forwarded to tho Education Board, with a request that they pay same. Further, that in tho abschco of Mr. Bennett, Mr. Guthrie, M.l\, be requested to uso his best endeavours to securo for the,school sufficient funds to carry on with." Under the circumstances, no ono' would accept office on tho committee.
