COLLISION IN ENCLISH CHANNEL. A STEAMER SINKS. By Tdiezrapli—Press Association-CopyrieM London, April 24. While the Indra liner Indralema, a steel vessel of 6669 tons gross, was going to Liverpool she collided with the steamer Trooper, 958 tons gross, off Dungeness, in the English Channel. The Trooper sank. While she was going down her crew climbed ropes and reached the Indralema's deck, all escaping.

[The Trooper is a steel vessel, built in 1902 by J. P. Rennoldson and Sons, South Shields. She is owned by tho Fisher - Kenwick Manchester - London Steamers, Ltd. The Indralcma is a wellknown trader to New Zealand from London, under the Tyser flag. She is a steel screw steamer, of 6G69 tons, built in 1901, by C. Council and Co. Glasgow, to the order of the Indra Line, Ltd., Liverpool. Her dimensions are as follow:—Length, 450 ft. Gin.; beam, 55ft.; and a moulded depth of 33ft. lOin. STEAMER STRIKES A ROCK. By Telegraph—l'ress Association—Copyright Vancouver, April 24. The steamer Asia, belonging to the Pacific Mail Company, and which has been running between San Francisco and ports in the Orient, struck on a rock 200 miles south of Shanghai, and sank. Tho passengers were saved, assistance being secured by wireless telegraphy. STEAMER FOUNDERS: FIFTEEN DROWNED. Vancouver, April 24. At Manila, the steamer Charles Poisat foundered in a typhoon. Fifteen on board were drowned.
