A SHOCKING STORY.
ALLEGED CRUELTY TO A GIRL. By Telcaraph-Presa Association-Copyricht London, April 24. Mrs. Wilesmith, a Worcester lady, her son, and a bailiff employed by her, are being charged with terribly illtreating a girl servant, aged thirteen years. It is alleged that tho girl was mercilessly beaten and her wounds salted. Mrs. Wilosmith is a prominent Christian Scientist and a Salvation Army worker. There are fifty-four permanent scars on the girl, many being four inches in length. Tho girl I was taken from an orphanage when she was seven years old, and it is alleged made a household drudge. The prisoners were committed for trial.
