One egg, its weight in butter, castor sugar, and flour, J teaspoonful of baking powder, 1' tablespcout'ul of milk, IJ oz. glaco cherries (cut into small pieces;, cherry pudding sauce. Sift tho Hour and baking powder on. I to a picco of paper, cream tho butter and sugar together until they are white and creamy looking, and then beat in the egg. Stir in lightly the flour, baking powder, milk, and cherries. Put the mixture into 6 or 8 dariole moulds,cover with a greased paper, and steam for about Jhr. Turn on to a hot dish and serve with cherry pudding sauce. CHERRY PUDDING SAUCE. Two tablespoonfuls of castor sugar, 1 tablespoonful of lemon juice,' 1 tablespoonful of water, 2oz. butter, loz. .glaco cherries (cut into small pieces). Put all these ingredients into a saucepan and bring to boiling point.
