The No-License Conference adopted resolutions in favour of giving practical support to the establishment of liquorless hotels, the principle of State option, and repeal of the three-fifths majority clause at the local option polls. The Licensed Victuallers' Association discussed the question of temperance hotels. Statements were made to the effect that prohibition cities in America were dismal, gloomy places. INVERGARGILL CITED. (Rec. April 22, 1.6 a.m.) Sydnay, April 21. Tho Rev. Mr. Ferguson, speaking at the Sydney Alliance Conference, said in Invercargill recently they looked for dire results from No-license, but instead they found an improvement socially, morally, and materially. People in tho liquor trade vera in to make money. Tho opponents of the liquor traffic were out to save money for the community.
