MAN'S JAW BROKEN. Between four and five o'clock yesterday afternoon a stirring eccne is alleged to have l>eon enacted on board a Home steamer in port. It is stated that an altercation took place between a f-toreman and a steward. How the affair first started lias yet to be explained, hut it is understood that a dispute arose between the two men over a question of one ordering the other to do certain work. This Was resented by one of them, and after a few words the storeman is said to have struck the steward several times. The man's jaw was broken, and he received other facial I abrasions which necessitated his removal to the hospital.
