Wedding at Wanganui. A very pretty wedding was celobrated in Christ Church, Wanganui, on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Marguerite Kate (Greta) Krull was married to Mr. Charles M'Keliar Strouts. The ceremony was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon Jacob, and' Mr. T. C. Webb presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a very pretty gown' of soft ivory satin, veiled with ninon do soie, and trimmed with lace, the square train being turned back at one comer with a.largo satin.bow. She wore a veil ami wreath of orange blossoms, and _«irried a beautiful shower-bouquet. ,3liss Kathleen Thompson (niece of the bride) and Miss Nina Jackson attended her as bridesmaids, both wearing short frocks of pale blue satin veiled with ninon and trimmed with satin roses and silver insertion, the small hats being of pale-blue satin' to match. They carried pretty sheaves tied with heliotrope ribbon. Little Miss Marjoric Saunders, in white, spotted muslin and a mob-cap, and carrying a sheaf, was the third bridesmaid. ' Mr. Charles AVilson was tho best man, and Mr. Fritz Krull groomsman. The bride's present from the bridegroom was an ivory prayer-book and case, and the bridesmaids received gold brooches set with turquoises. • The bridegroom's present froin tlift bride was a gold watch. A quiet, though pretty wedding took place at tho residence of the bridegroom's parents, Clareville, Wairarapa, on Tuesday last, when Mr. George Rossiter, eldest son of Mr. W. Rossiter, was married to Miss Vera Lawry, youngest daughter of Mr. W. R. Lawry, of the Waikato. The bride, who was given away by Mr. W. Rossiter, wore a very pretty frock of white silk muslin, and the customary veil and orange blossoms. Miss Eva Rossiter- attended as bridesmaid, dressed in China silk, and the Rev. L. Thompson was the officiating minister. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a beautiful gold brooch, set with pearls, and to the bridesmaid a gold charm pin. A reception v.-as held subsequently, when a number of 'friends were entertained. < Mr. and Mrs. Rossiter will take up their residence in the 'Waikato. A Fashionable Wedding. A Press Association telegram from London states that the marriage of tho Marquis of Linlithgow (son of tho first Governor-General ot Australia) and a daughter of Sir Frederick Milner, Baronet, took place on Wednesday, April 19. Ths Most Kev. Dr. Lang, Archbishop of York, officiated. King George's and Queen Marv's gift was a largo silver lov-ing-up. Tlie honeymoon trip is to be to Australia, the couple arriving there in tho middle of June. Mr. and Mrs. Kevins, of Anmdale, together with their children, are spending a few weeks at Plimmerton. Mrs. Hurley, of . Oriental Bay, is visit-' ing friends at DEVonport, Auckland. Miss Hurley and Miss E. Hurley are also in Auckland. ' A meeting of the To Pani Club was held on Tuesday evening at the Y.W.C.A. rooms, Manners Street, when a very interesting paper — "Shakespeare" — was given by Miss Holmes It iscluded an appreciation of tho poet's character by Buskin and Ben Jonson. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Wilkinson, of "Hinaburn," Featherston, are at present spending a month's holiday in Napier. Mrs. H. Vallance, who has been staying with Mrs. Drtimmond at Kilbirnie, returned to Masterton yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Cecil Ramsdeii, of Mangainahne, is visiting her mother, Mrs. W. G. Beard, of "Ovingdcan," Masterton. Lady Mills left by tho Arawa yesterday for England. Mr. John Dancan, M.P., Mrs. Duncan, and Miss Rutherford, are visiting Auckland and Rotorua Mrs. Hermann Von Haast is the guest of Mrs. H. F. Von Haast, Salamanca Koad. Mrs. Colbeck (Auckland) has been staying with Mrs. Vivian Riddiford, Lower Hutt. Mr. and Mrs. John Ivirkcaldie (Wellington) expect to arrive in this city on their return from England next AVeclnesday. Mrs. F. Knight (Dannevirke) is visiting Napier. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Quillinm returned from Auckland to New Plymouth on Wednesday.

Mesdames A. R. Atkinson, G. W. Darvall, and T. H. Gill, Miss Helyer, Mr. m' u ' LL.JJ., and Mr. Charles Cathie, are the examiners for tho Sunday school Union examination to be held in June. Considerable interest is being displayed by the various schools, a number ot teachers having decided to start special preparation classes. Mr. Joseph William Percy, eldest son ot tho late Mr. J. 11. Percy, of Petono, was married yesterday to Miss Mary Scott, third (laughter of Mrs. J. Scott, of Jvuripuni, Masterton. Miss Mabel Grant (Woodville) is tho guest of Mrs. Anderson, in Napier. Mrs. Arthur Levett (Feilding) and Mrs. T. H. Frater (Auckland) are staying with Mrs. Gordon Rcid, of Boulcott Terrace. They are in town for Nurse Gill's wedding, which takes place quietly on Saturday.
