UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. At midnight last night the Komata was to have lctt Westport for Wellington, with a. load of coal for the local branch of the Westport Coal Company. To-night the Kaiapoi will be dispatched from Wellington for Westiiort. At the latter port she loads coal for Sydney. Recoinmissioned after the Easter holidays vesterday, the Wannlia will leave Wellington for Westport to-night. from here the Kurow proceeds to Kaipara, where she loads timber' for Sydney. At 8 p.m. yesterday, the Arahura left Westport for Nelson, Pioton, and Wellington. Sho iE due in port about 10 o'clock to-night. The Kamon.a is to leave Lytfolton for Wellington to-morrow. ABIiIVAL OF THE TAINUI.

GOOD PASSAGE OUT. At 4.20 a.m. yesterday, the Shaw, SaviU and Albion Comnany'ii K.M.S. Talnui arrived in the Stream at Wellington from London, via way ports. She berthed at the Queen's Wharf ?fo. 1 eouth at 8.40 a.m. A report of the voyage (supplied by Mr. C. B. Foxley, second officer) states that the Tainui left the Boyal Albert Docks, London, on March 2, at. 4 p.m., and arrived at Plymouth on the following day, having experienced moderate westerly, winds on the initial stage of her long journey. Plymouth was left behind on March 4, and fine weather was met with on the run to Santa Cruz, which port was reached on March 8, at ]1 p.m. Leaving again at 2.30 p.m. the following day for Capo Town, the Tainui encountered fine weather until two dtys out from the South African port, when she ran into a south-east, icalo, port being made at 11 p.m. on March 23. After disembarking passengers and landing mails, the Tainui'took in a, small quantity of the Aotea's cargo, and on Jlarch 25 commenced the run ncross the Southern Ocean to Hobart. For the first ten days out fine weather was experienced, but, after that, the usual westerly gales and following seas were encountered, llobart was mads at 2.30 a.m. on April 12. Here. 2-31 paesoiiirers disembarked, and the Tainui took on board 12.DC0 cafes of fruit, for tranship-ir-ent to the Arawa. for l!io do Janeiro and Monte Video.
