MINERS' PHTHISIS.
A COMPENSATION BILL. By Telceraph—Press Association—Oopyrieht Cape Town, April 17. The Union Government proposes to amend the Bill, read a second time in tho Assembly yesterday, providing for the compensation for miners suffering from miners' phthisis. The amendment authorises employers to deduct contributions from miners' wages towards a compensation fund. The Miners' Association demands the maintenance of the original form of the Bill.
