BIG GUNS IN THE NAVY.

TOUR BRITISH VESSELS 'WITH 13.5-INCH WEAPONS. ' By Teleeraph—Press Association-Copyrifflit (Eec. April 12, 10.25 p.m.) ; London, April 12. "The Times" states that Great Britain has four ships afloat, and two. more shortly to be launched, all of which, will carry 13.5-inch ,guns. No other Power has any vessel so far advanced which will mount heavier than 12-inch guns. The writer says that possibly Krupp's 14-inch gun, of which much has been heard, is a. fortress gun. If found expedient to mount it, Great Britain already has a 14-inch gun tested which could bo utilised aboard warships. While it is possible that a further advance may ultimately be made to a 15inch, there Is no indication that such a step is , likely, and it is at least ecjfaally probable that the pendulum may swing the other way.
