SUNDAYSCHOOL ANNIVERSARY

— $ Celebrations in connection with the thirty-first anniversary of the Newloivn. Primitive Methodist Sunday School wero continued last evening, Mr. E. C. Foltham being in the chair. The secretary stated that the expenditure for the year was.'£s2, and the receipts totalled £60. It is intended to call tenders shortly for the erection of a now class room A tea-meeting was held at 6 p.m., and was followed by a public meeting at 7.30 p.m., there being good attendances at both. The Rev. C. A. Simms, in distributing the prizes competed for during the year, announced that the first prize was awarded to Master E. Ridding and silver medals to 3[isses A. Gilmaii and J. Jardino. During the evening several solos, recitations, ducts, chor" uses, and action pieces were rendered. Miss Embury was the organist, and Jlr. E. Muir was in charge of the choir.
