DESPERATE BURGLARS.
SHOT DEAD BY THE POLICE. By Tekeraph—Press Association—Oopyrielit Berlin, April 10. Kowoll, the burglar who at a colliery at Laurahutte, Silesia, killed four persons, including a sergeant of police, and then escaped, took refuge, with an accomplice, in his uncle's house. Tho police surrounded the house and exchanged pistol shots with the desperado. Several of tho police were wounded, and Kowoll was shot dead, receiving ten bullet wounds. His accomplice was captured, but later succumbed to his wounds.
