TO-DAY'S DINNER.
(Specially written for. The Dominion.) ■WEDNESDAY. Mutton pie. Potatoes. Turnips. Golden Pudding. GOLDEN PUDDING. Four ounces flour, i tcaspoonful of bnking powder, a pinch of salt. 4oz. chopped suet, 4oz. breadcrumbs, 3oz. cai|,or sugar, 4oz. golden syrup, 1 egg, 1 gill of milk-, golden syrup sauce. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a basin; add the suet, breadcrumbs, and sugar, .and mix thoroughly together; beat up the-egg, add tho golden syrup and milk, and stir them with the other ingredients; pour into a greased basin; steam 21 hours; serve with golden syrup sauce. GOLDEN SYttllF SAUCE. Two tablespoonfuls of golden syrup, 2 tablespoonfuls of water, 2 teasnoonfuls of lemon juice. Boil all together and serve. FOR TO-MORROW. 5 or 61b. pickled pork (belly part). Carrots. Turnips. 1} pints split peas (soaked overnight).
