THEIR NEW AWARD. (By Telegraph— Press Association.) Auckland, April 10. The award'made in connection with the demands of tho Auckland branch of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters nnd Joiners has now been placed upon tho file the Court. The principal point of 'difference is that the minimum wage Ins been increased to Is. -ltd. per hour in the case of ordinary journeymen, and to ,£2 17s. per'week of 47 hours in tho easo of journeymen employed in factories. The union asked to.have the.minimum
wage increased to Is. 6d. per hour. Tlie award will remain in operation for 0:10 year as front 3lav 1.
