POLICE RAID.
AN ALLEGED OPIUM DEN,
Tee Wong, i\ Chinefa laundrymnn, who occupies a shop at tho corner of Dixon Street and Qiiinn fit reel, received an unexpwted call at 0.15 last evening from two members of th: , police' force, Sorfjeant Kutledge niul Constalilo. M'Kelvoy. The object of tin , officer? was to unearth certain'suspected secret vlores of opium. When they entered tho building they made for an upstairs room. Here, it is alleged, (hey found Yee Wong employed In a manner which will necessitate oxplanation before the magistrate. He will be charged this morning with smoking opium and also with having opium in a form fit for smoking in his possession.
