MR. MASSEY'S OTAGO TOUR.
SPEECH AT ROXBURGH. (By Tolcsrapli.—Press Association.) Roxburgh, April 7. In company with Mr. R. Scott, member for Tuapoka, Mr. W. F. Massey, Lender of the Opposition, left Duncdiu this morning, and arrived at Roxburgh in tho evening, having come by coach from Lawrence. Mr. Massey delivered an address to a largo audience in the Athenaeum Hall. Dr. Giimour, Mayor of Roxburgh, presided. The speaker was accorded a patient hearing, his remarks being punctuated with applause, and at the conclusion ho received a hearty vote of thanks. Tho address was somewhat on tho lilies of previous addresses delivered in Canterbury. The speaker criticised the Government's land policy and also its methods of finance, and adversely commented oil tho heavy borrowing which had been in practice since the present (government came into pov/er. He also dealt with other questions of public interest. He will siieak at Alexandra oil Saturday night.
