The Hon. J. Carroll goes to Auckland to-day. He will be away from Wellington about a week. Mr. Forno has been secretary of tho club for four years, and tho success of the organisation has been. largely due to his efforts. Mr, Forno is leaving for Napier on Thursday next. Mr. A. Ferguson will not seek roolectio'n to the Onslow Borough Council. Sergeant Dart, who has been transferred to tho charge of tho New Plymouth police district, leaves Wellington on Tuesday next.
