Baked Custard. Cream. SUPPER. Cold Beef. Anchovy Eggs. Tomato Salad. Fruit Salad. Meringues. ■ , C-eam. .
■ APRICOT SPONGE PUDDING. 4oz. flour, 4oz. butter, 4oz. Demarara, sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoonfuls of , apricot jam, I tablespoonful of milk, } teaspoonful ;carbonate of soda, foamy sauce; , Sift the flour and carbonate of 1 soda on'to a piece of paper, Cream the butter and sugar, and. beat in tho eggs one at, a time. ; Add the flour, soda, apriv cot jam, and milk, and stir all lightly together. ' Put l into a greased basin, cover with a greased paper, and steam two hours. Turn .out, and serve the following saucc.
FOAMY SAUCE, butter, 2oz. castor sugar, 2 tablespoonfuls of boiling water, juice of i lemon (strained), 2 yolks of eggs.! Put the and sugar into a basin, and cream 'together. Beat in the yolks of the eggs. Stand the basin over a saucepan of boiling Water, add the other ingredients, by. degrees, and whisk the" sauce until' it becomes thick snd frothy. It must not boil.
