SUPREME COURT.
THE WAIKATO'LAKD CASE. The hearing of evidence in the AYaiKato land case, which has occupier! tho attention of tho Supreme Court for a week, off and on, was "brought to a close yesterday. The plaintiffs, Herbert Carter and James AV. Body, of Wellington, sought the rescission of an aereement with John \\. Chapman, dated February 14 1910, under which plaintiffs covenanted to purchase portion of the Hillside Woodlands Estate, near Hamilton. Plaintiffs also claimed .£507 16s. id., representing the deposit paid on the land, and the amount paid out of pocket Mr. T. 11. Wilford, with him Mr. Cracroft \\ ilson, appealed for plaintiffs, and Mr. A. Gray, with him Mr. Tringhani, for defendant. ' The witnesses. Harman and Body, were recalled by Mr. Wilford to clear up several minor points. After they had been cres-exa mined at length, the Court rose, counsel's addresses being postponed until a date to be arranged. His. Honour stated that he could not indicate at present when he could hear the addresses.
