MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
Jl'he Missions to Seamen Institute was crowded last evening, when Madame Mueller provided a very enjoyable concert. The Kev. J. D. Russell occupied the chair. The programme was opened by Miss Mueller, who sang "The Child of .Spain"; Mr. Culverwell sang "Hearts nf Oak"; "The Sons that Ueached My Heart," by Miss Lie/.; "Daffodils Abloiving," Miss Jones; "Cioogoo !\ves," Mr. Colpns; "That Sweet Refrain," Mr. Gnss; "Little Irish Girl," Miss lingers; "Goodbye," Miss Harrison; "Queen of the Earth," Mr. I'aul; "Love in the Heart," Mndnmo Mueller. The Mission Choir sang several popular glees, which wore encored, as wore all the other items on Iho programme. Mrs. Kiggs and Mr. W. Gardiner acted as accompanists. An amusing conundrum competition was won bv sailors from ships in port. Mr. ,T. S. Cummings proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the chairman and the performers, which was carried by acclamation. Light refreshments, provided by Mr. Hislop, were afterwards dispensed.
