LODGE MEETING.
The weekly meeting of the Pioneer iJodge, No. 11 1.0. G.T., was held in the Kccimbite Chambers, Manners Street, on Monday evening, Bros. Geo. A. Petherick, P.C.T., presiding over a good-attendance i members and visitors. One candidate was proposed for membership.. It was decided to send a letter of :condolence to Sister Pearman in connection witli the death of her son. Leave of absence was .granted to several officers to attend the Grar-d Lodge Session in Duncdin. at Easter. After the .business had concluded representatives from the Independant Order of Rcehabites were welcomed, and took part in a mock Parliamentary election. Bros. Goer, Ferguson, and C. -S. Kelly represented the Rcchabites, whilo Bros. D. Hampton,' Gns. Petherick, and R. Rcid stood in the interests of 1.0. G.T. Several amusing and original ideas were propounded by the candidates. ■ The 1.0. E. policy appealed to those present, resulting in their being elected by a majority of three. Refreshments were supplied at the close of a pleasant evening. Next week's programme is an open meeting, Sisters Pepper and Campion being in charge.
