SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Misty weather has prevailed with heavy rain in parts northwards of Kawliia. and Gisborne, and drizzling rain lus fallen elsewhere. Easterly and northerly winds have moderated in the north to-day, and south-easterly breezes predominated elsewhere. A low-pressure area of decreasing intensity lying to the westward of the North Island will probably merge with another low one advancing on the South Island. Tho barometer has n, falling tendency everywhere, and is likely to become low in the south after about 36 hours.
