Mr. Alfred Linley, of-West's' and the Royal Pictures' proprietary, who returned from a visit to Australia yesterday, says' the show business in Sydney is flourishing extraordinarily'. "Any man with a dog and monkey show only has to secure a pitch to ensure doing good business. The pictures are becoming increasingly popular everywhere, and.all engaged in that department of tho entertainment business .are doing well. Mr. George Harlow's new theatre, with a seating- accommodation of 3000, is to be. opened there on April 5, and another theatre, the Lyric, situated in George Street; is to opeii.its doors to picture-lovers to-morrow." Whilst in Sydney, Mr. .Linley. made arrangements for Die setting up in- Wellington of a studio for the production of local kinenuitograph views 'throughout New Zealand) for exhibition here and in Australia..
