BOWRONS ARRESTED.
SEQUEL TO BERMONDSEY FAILURE, CHARGES OF FRAUD. By Telegraph—Press Association-Oopyrisfht London, March 28. The partners in the firm of Bowron Bros., leather merchants,- of- Bcrmondsey, who recently failed with liabilities totalling .£368,900, and assets amounting only to =£130,003, have been arrested. The arrested persons are John A. Bowron, Sidney Bowron, tad Thomas Knight, an employee who has been twenty years with the firm. The charge against the accused is that they conspired to obtain by false pretences a sum of .628,670, the property of Messrs. Booth and Co., of Bermondsey. When arrested, John Bowron said:—"l have been more sinned against than sinning. I have given the Official Receiver all information." The accused were remanded for eight days. Theßowrons were allowed bail of ,£IOOO, and Knight JcoW. Bail was forthcoming.
