SUNDAY NIGHT'S DUTY. Nearly every householder in Wellington will by to-day haTO received a census schedule,, which has to bo filled in on Sunday evening—tho date fixed lor taking tho census throughout the British Dominions. Those who are immediately concerned in filling in the form'arc.advised to carefully study what is required by law, but to postpone the actual workit' may be hard work to v some—until Sunday evening, as it is those who actually sleep on tho premises that nisiht who arc to bo "entered up," and anything may happen in the interim. The hotels, • . bc-ai'dihg-honses, and clubs axe being sunplied with' additional forms of a handy . sizo for distribution anionp the boarders ; or guests, so that information, necessarily _ ; of a private character in. some instances, •' may not be perused by all and sundry, as would bo tho case were all to use- «. couinion schedule. The clerical work of . transcribing'. the information to tho schedule proper may be done by tho "head of tho house" or by who calls for tho papers on Monday. It is estimated that the making up of tho census for the Dominion (population only) will occupy the big staff engaged for. from ten weeks to two months.
