The "Morning Leader," referring to the Cambrian strike ballot, says: "Men, oven beside themselves with fury or fanaticism, don't voto without reason for an indefinite continuance of acute suffering. It is hoped the Board of Trade will promptly discover tho reason for such action, and take steps to removo it." STRIKE AT THE SINGER WORKS. London, March 27. Tho dispute at the Singer sewing machine works at Glasgow luis spread., Last week, as a result of a dispute over the wages of girls, 10,000 employees stopped work. Tho remainder of tho employees have now struck, and tho factory has stopped work. 'A. BIG FIGHT IN ALBERTA. Toronto, March 27. Financial interests are preparing to put up a big fight against the striking coal miners in Western Canada. They hope to break the union permanently. MELBOURNE TIMBER STRIKE ENDS. Melbourne, March 28. Tho timber stackers' strike lias been settled. The men aro to get Is. 3d. an hour and special rates of overtime. The employers guarantee that non-unionists shall not be employed unless unionists are not available. The agreement wilt operate to November, 1913.
