Tho jury to-day found the young Russian student, Boris Senkovitch, guilty of tho murder of his companion, Alexander Eismond, at Bourko in September last,' under circumstances described yesterday. A strong recommendation for mercy was mado on tho ground that the murder was not premeditated. Tho judgo sentenced tho prisoner to death. During the trial to-day the Russian Consul-General gave evidence in support of the prisoner's . statement regarding the existence of bad feeling between Russia and England. Witness said tho feeling originated at the time of tho Boer War and became still more acute during the Russo-Japanese War. A QUEENSLAND TRAGEDY. (Rec. March 25, 0.25 a.m.) • Brisbane, March 24. John Farrington and Peter- Tynan have been sentenced to death for tho murder of William Tynan, brother of Peter Tynan, at Dumbleton, near Mackay, in November last. The two brothers and Farrington quarrelled, and Peter and Farrington attacked William with cane-knives, inflicting fearful injuries. '
