4 (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ChrlstchurcH, March 23. The annual meeting of the Canterbury A. and P. Association was held to-night. Tho annual report, which was adopted, stated that the association had had a successful year. The retiring president, in his address, strongly advocated the encouragement of plant breeding. Mr. M. Murphy, a member of tho executive, in seconding tho annual report, appealed to members to coiumemorato the jubilee of tho association in 1013 by paying off tho mortgage on the ground (,£4000). Sir Geo. Clifford was elected president for the ensuing year.
