PALMERSTON DOINGg. The spflrts'ground_at Palmerston was fully .occupied on Wednesday alternoon, when three championship matches were played. These were decided in each case on "the first innings. In the Manawatu v; Phoenix B game the former went ill first and the nine men available were disposed of for 75 (Harden 2S, R. Abraham 18).' Phoenix B then went in, and treated their opponents to a considerable amount of leather-limiting, the total reaching 245. Of this Munro contributed 117 and then retired.
