Mr. A. H. Hawke, who was in Fcilding some four years ago, returned there yesterday from Napier (says our local correspondent). Ho resumes duty with the local branch of. the Bank of Australasia as U'ller. Mr. A. G. Lawson becomes accountant, vice Sir. Mason, who has been transferred to Dunedin, and leaves to-day. Mr. Mason received presentations from tho Feilding Cricket Club and from his colleagues in the bank. The quarter day of tho Phoenix Fire Offico is March S5. Messrs. William 11. Turnbull and Co. will sell by public auction at their rooms, 27 Panama Street, to-day, at 2.;50 p.m., by order of the R-egistrar, two semi-detach-ed houses in Mount Street, off Wellington Terrace.
