About the end of tills month a conference will be held in Wellington between tho Advisory Committee of tho New Zealand Farmers' Union and representatives of tlio Farmers' Political Protection League to consider certain proposals which, have recently been alluded to in tho press. Tho Political Protection Leaguo is a North Canterbury organisation which, though it sprang from a branch of the Farmers' Union" has not received, so far, the recognition of that body. It is merely composed of members of tho union. Not until after tho conference will the standing of the league in regard to the union 1,0 mown. The conference will bo private, r.ntl therefore closed to tho press.
