PRIMITIVE METHODIST ANNIVERSARY.
The celebrations in connection with tho anniversary of the Sydney Street Primitive. Methodist Sunday School were continued on Wednesday.evening, when a very successful tea-raeetmg was held, there beinc a verv large attendance. An oniovable entertainment was subsequently held, at which the superintendent (Mr. J B. Haddon) presided, and delivered a short address.' Recitations were contributed by Miwes Eileen Coad Eva Henderson, Iw Steptoe, Hilda bwift, Rota Foote Vera Collins, and Reta Coad. and Master Leslie Swift, whilst a-dialogue was given by Masters IT. Steptoe and ; E. Cnrrie. Songs by Misses .T..-Nicholas and Gladys Cnrrie and Messrs. Newton and P. Davey, duet by Miss J. Nicholas and Mr. P. Dsivev were al«o contributed. An item entitled "The Sleepv Brigade" and an action «mg were earh given by fivo scholars. The foregoing wen- interspersed with choruses by scholars and choir under the bnton of Mr. K. Dawson, whilst. Miss«s Gille>pi'' and Jean Nicholas pre<idcfl at the piano and organ respectively. The Rev. P. .1. Cossnm nrescnted the medals and prizes. The eold and silver medals wore a\<;i"l»d to Master 11. Rteptcie and Miss Hilda Swift respectively, and a missionary medal In Nita Step!ne. Th" annual report submitted bv Messrs. .1. Cable and C. Coad indicated that there had been stcadv nrosro". The income for Hie year was ,«3 ISs. Sd!. nnd the expenditure .R3S U. 5d.. in addition to which .£9 S«. fd. wis collected for New Zealand home missions.
