ROYAL COMMISSIONS.
TO BE ISSUED SHORTLY. His Excellency Hie Governor has not yet signed the appointment of the Royal Commission which is to inquire into the working and ventilation of mines throngliont the Dominion. It is anticipated that (he protest of a meeting of \Yest_ Coast miners (as reported in yesterday's Dominion') against the selection of two of tho commissioners will bo considered by Cabinet before the commission is signed, ilr. .1. Stevenson has been appointed shorthand writer !o the commission. _ The personnel of live Royal Commission which is to infmiro and re.nort as to Iho best route for 'the North Auckland railway has now been completed, and is as follows.—.Messrs. V. 11. lioed, M.P. (chairman), J. Stallworihy, M.r., T. Ronnync (General Manager or Railways), J. Conmbe. W. Evans. L. Y. Bercrofr, and T. 11. Steadman. This commission also awaits the signature of the Governor.
