ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATES.

Tho .Supreme Court yesterday dealt with a number of petitions of the Public lrusteo relating to estates under his administration, and also granted to him tho administration of the estates of several persons who have died recently. Orders to sell realty were granted respecting tho estates of Richard Dewe, of Sydenham, maltster; Thomas Robert M'LarIVJ! 1 ' , OI L, ?I", lllu '' farmer; and Annie Elizabeth Kelso, of Auckland, married ST,'™ 'm aml autnor 'ty «"as given to the 1 übl'.c Trustee s mortgaging realty in the estate of John Flanders, of Eivorstea,' Ilawkes Bay, farmer, in order to effect, improvements on the fame. His Honour made an order removing the executors of the will of Jar.otSpratt] of Napier, married woman, and appointing tho Public Trustee executor and trustee, of the will in their stead, and another order appointing tho Public Trustee trustee of the will of tho lato Joseph Primmer, of Richmond, Nelson, who died in 18GG, and tho trustees of whose will desire to retire. The Public Trustee applied to the Court for directions as to the distribution of the estate of Richard Peck, who died at Tauranga some years ago, and whose only relative who can be traced is a cousin resident in England. His Honour declared that the relativ.es of the deceased be advertised for in the London papers, and that the matter be brought before him again after this has been done. A motion came before the Court in connection with tho estate of Walter Alfred Cook, late of Auckland, agent, deceased, to presume the death of one of the beneficiaries, the deceased's brother, George Cook. The evidence before his Honour shotted that this.man was last heard of in New South Wales about. .10 years ago. and that although he had been advertised for in. tho Australian papers several times, no trace of him could bo found, and his Honour, therefore, declared him to be dead, and ordered that his share in his brother's estate be distributed' amongst the surviving next-of-kin. Probate was granted to the Public Trustee, in respect of the wills of the following deceased persons:—Alexander Young, late of Blenheim, settler; William Rae, lato of Clreyniouth, accountant; John Martin, late of Evans Bay. waterman; Catherine Guthrie, late of Mcanec. married woman; Thomas Alfred Enimerson, late of South Duuedin, storeman; Charles Wilson Hursthouse, late of Lower Hutt, civil engineer; Robert Cuppies, late of Invercargill. farmer; William ' Buchanan, late of Devonport, surgeon; William Henry Corhett, late of Eotorua, coachbuilder; and orders to administer were also granted in respect of the estates of the under-mentioned:—Har-old Ernest Knight, late of Otane, labourer; Thomas Walter Lawrence, late of Christchurch, bootmaker; Hugh Cameron, late of Mastcrton, farmer; Charles Wyllio, also known as Charles Jones, late of Mangatu, bush-feller. Mr. J. W. Macdonald, the solicitor to the Public Trust Office, acted for tho Public Trustee.
