ADDINGTOX MABKET. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Chrlstchtirch, March 15. At Addington there were large entries of stores, though they were not up to last week's numbers. There was a very good demand for 6tore sheep, which were of better quality than last week. Fat lamb 3 and fat sheep cased still further' in price. Fat cattle also dropped back in value. The entry of pigs was large, and the market was weaker. There was a poor salu for store cattle, but good dairy cows were in demand. The entry of store sheep was not so large as.lait week, there being a smaller proportion of oversea sheep offered. The quality showed ah improvement, and consequently the better classes sold rather better than at the recent sales. Backward sheep were on the other hand dull of sale in consequence of continued dry weather and shortage of feed. Good ewes were firmer. There was an entry of 5242 fat lambs of fair to medium quality. In the early part of tho sa!o the market was somewhat excited by operations of two outsido speculators,, but afterwards prices easpd. off. and compared with last week's values showed a further decline owing to unfavourable reports regarding future • prospects at Home. There were <583 taken for export at 9e. to 15s. 6(1.; 139 by butchers, at 11s. 6d. to 13s. 6d.; and 520 were- passed at 12s. 3d. to 13s. Id., some of those being afterwards taken by export-buyers. Tho yarding of fat sheep was much smaller than of late, and was chiefly made un , of medium and inferior ewes. There were a. few lines of good wethers, but the bulk were light corts. Wethers and prime ewes 'maintained their values, but second-class and aged ewes showed a, further decline. The range of prices was: Prime wethers, 16s. to 18s. 9d.; lighter, 12s. to 15s. 6(1.; prime ewes, 12s. 6d. to 165.; medium. 9s. 6d. to 125.; afrcd and light, ss. 3d. to 9.5. ■ There were 337 head of fat cattle yarded,' and the quality .was very good all round.
