C. M. Luke, M.L.C. referred to visits which he paid to ndult schools during his sojourn in England a few years ago. He had been very much impressed by the movement in England nnd ho noticed with particular approval its undenominational character' a fid its catholicity. On behalf of members of the schooi and other friends, Miss Elizabeth D. Eutter who is about to leave., for England, was presented with a handsome New Zealandmade woollen rug. Miss Eutter was one of the founders of the school, and has for eome time been if.s president. The presentation was made by Mrs. Jfacgregor Mbs Butter feelingly expressed her thanks, and, in a short address, spoke of i-he desirahleness of looking on the hrisrht side of things—in adult school work, as well as in other things. Tho meoting sent a message of sympathy to Mr. J. Eigg, one of the leaders of the school, who is laid aside by sickness. ■Those 'present were invited to attend Hie school, which meets in tho Druids' Htll'.on Sunday mornings.
