ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION MATCH. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. London, March 13. The international Association football match England v. Wales was won by England by 3 goals to nil. THE NEW CORINNA CLUB. With the purpose of forming a new 'Association football Club, some enthusiasts Called a meeting of those interested, and this was held at Godber's Rooms,- Cuba Street,- on Monday evening. Mr. T. Crouch presided over a large attendance..

In stating the reasons for forming the new club, Mr. J. Lewis, one ,of the conveners, said that it was not the intention nf those concerned to be

antagonistic to other clubs in Wellington. Their solo idea was to endeavour to infuso greater keenness into football, and to strengthen the position of tlio Wellington Association. There were many association players in Wellington not connected with any club, and it was for these players that tho new club was boing formed. Mr. W. H. Stewart moved, and Mr. A. M'Kay seconded, a motion to the effect that n new club bo formed., to bo called tho Corinna Club.—Carried.

Mr. l'\ Lucas was elected secretary, and Mr. A. M'Kay treasurer. <

Another meeting is to bo held in abcut a fortnight.

RAMBLERS' ANNUAL MEETING. Tho Ramblers Association Foothill Club held its annual meeting in the New Century Hall, Kent Terrace, last evening, Mr. H. Waters presiding over a good attendance.

The seventh annual report and balai:cc;sheet, which were adopted, stated that the club had won the senior championship for the first time in its history. They had been fortunate in securing several now and prominent players last season, and tiiis, no doubt, had helped them to attain championship honours. Messrs. W. Jackson, R. Paget, H. Smallhone, C. Webster, and Trevcthick had gf-.incd representative honours. More attention should be paid to training during the coming season, and players were asked id keep together in tho interests of the club and Association football generally. The question of a train-ing-shed should bo considered. Regret was expressed at the departure' of Mr. R. Mackay, one of the club's delegates' for the Old Country, for by his leaving tho club has lost a splendid worker. 'I lie balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £1 9s. 9d.

Tho election of officers resulted as follows : —Patron, his Excellency the Governor;' president, Mr. W. N. Tucker; vice-presidents, 15 elected; delegates to W.F.A., Messrs. H, Waters,-M. H. Kirschberg, and W. S. Jackson; management committee, Messrs. R. L. Paget, M. 11. Kirschberg, A. C Coward, C. Webster, and W. Jackson; club captain, Mr. C. Webster; sec. and tieas'. r Mr. R. T. M'Loan; auditor, Mr. 11. Waters. Mr. E. Cross was elected captain of tho senior eleven, and Mr. M. 11. Kirschberg vice-captain. Six new members were elected. A voto of thanks to Major C. D. Macintosh, the retiring patron, who wrote stating that he could not again accept office, was carried by acclamation.

In regard to the question of the ground lee charge which is to bo discussed at;the annual meeting of "the W.F.A. it was decided that the delegates be instructed to record their vote in favour of raising the capitation fees of the affiliated clubs.

A letter was received from the-Blen-' heim Club asking for a match to be played at Blenheim at Easter. It was' decided that a reply bo sent stating that tho matter had been left in the. hands- of the management committee, and that a reply would be forwarded later.

BERHAMPORE BAPTIST CLUB.' On Monday evening the Berhamporo Baptist Football Club held their annual meeting.'Mr. A. Porter presiding. There was a good attendance, and tho secretary's report and treasurer's statement were duly received and adopted.

The election of officers resulted -as follows:—-President, Rev. T. Keith Ewen; vice-presidents, Messrs..A. A. Whitelaw, H. G. Hill, and H. Ivory; hon. secretary, Mr. W. E. Nccs (reelected) ; hon. treasurer, Mr. N. Nelson; .management committee, ■;" Messrs. J. Bray, W. Cummins, N. Nelson, A. Osborne, A. Porter, and J. Stubbs; selection committee, ! W. F. Noes, and A.'OsborneY delegates" to W.F.A., Messrs. W; Cummins and W. F. Noes. . .

. It w-as decided to. enter "both. Second and Third Division teams this season, Mr. W. Cummins being re-elected captain of the former, with Mr. J. Stubbs vice-captain. Mr. W. F. Noes was elected captain of the Third Division team and Mr. A. Noes vice-captain.
