Yesterday the Union Company's steamer Whangnpe was to have been floated into Calliope Dock, Auckland, preparatory to boinp dispatched to Wellington. From hero she Icavc3 with live stock for Sydney on or about March 28. To-morrow week the F.-H.-S. Line's steamer Evcrton Grange is scheduled to leave Lyttelton for Avonmoulh direct. Before doing so, however, sho visits Timaru for loading purposes. Gl Captain Watchlin. of the ferry steamer Duchess, is at present on holiday, and is being relieved by Captain Reid, of the Adinirnl.
