WOMAN'S HOARD BETWEEN SHELF PAPERS.
An odd form.of hoarding money on tho ~°f an » lcl woman has been discovered by the Glasgow police. On being called to a house in Grove •Sstrect by neighbours, who feared something was amiss, tho police burst open the door and found Mrs. Margaret Johnstone, aged sixty, lying dead. A search of the house revealed a lnr»o quantity of jewellery, in the form of watches, rings, etc., a bank-book with JilSO at her credit, and a deposit receipt for .0160. ' Bank-notes to tho value of £Wi wore found spread on tho shelf of tho kitchen cupboard between layers of newspaper. Tho old woman had for years been employed, at a city railway'.station, and her savings represented tho tips she had received.
