Tho lad had been awarded a threo years' scholarship, but although the father had entered into tho usual recognisances, ho withdrew him from school at the end of five terms. It was stated by the mother that her son was made a butt by the other scholars, and subjected to all manner of ill-treatment. When the mother complained to the headmaster, he, she alleged, said, "For goodness salco I wish you would tako him away," and accordingly the hoy was withdrawn. Judgment for tho full amount, with costs, was given to the plaintiff council.
