It was the intention of the ThorndoP' Club to pay a visit to Auckland at.Eastei and try conclusions with the Wnitcmnta Club, who had arranged to hold two carnivals, but owing trf the club's elect (Mr. M. E. Champion) being selected to go Home in connection with tho Festival of Empire Sports gathering, the project had to be abandoned. Mr. Champion leave on March IT. SWIFTS CLUB. Johnston, 2; H. Little, 3. Time, 35 i-ssec. i INTER-BANKS EVENT. At tho Thorndon Baths last evening at inter-Banks relay race- of 250 yards was held. The Banks entered were: Union Bank, Bank of New South Wales, and Bankof New Zealand.' Tho last-named was disqualified. Tbe race resulted in a win. for the Union Bank, with the Bank of New South Wales second. The winners team were: Murrcll, Galvin, Nelson, Gallie, and Cannichael. Tho Bank of New South Wales team was Dickson, Smith, Mac Donald, Pylc, and Malfrcy.
