4 The Labour Department held its annual picnic at Day's Bay on Wednesday. Mr. John Lomas, Secretary for Labour, read a telegram from the Minister for Labour (Hon. J. A. Millar) wishing the staff an enjoyable outing. At cricket, Mr. Aldridge's team defeated Mr. Casey's by 37 runs on the first innings. The sports resulted as follow:—Word judging competition, V.
