ST. PETER'S CLUB.

THE ANNUAL MEETING. The fourteenth annual meeting of St. Peter's Club ,was held last night, when there was a good attendance of members. The annual report and balance-sheet were " l°u Hie annual report the committee regretted to' report the death last session of Jlr C. Little, who died of pneumonia after a. short illness. He was a useful member on the committee, and was a very popular member of ,t he 'club. On Novemtier 11 tho club's president left Wellington to return to England to join the benedicts. The committee wished him every success iii his new parish, and every happiness in his married life. During tho year the club also lost the services of an esteemed member, Mr. H. M. Kilgour, who has gone to Australia. Ike committee trusts that under tho leadership of tho new president, tho Veu. Arch. Harper, tho club will prove more than over able to carry out tho purposes for which it was founded, and that the members will continue to show a real interest in all the doings of the club, now in its fourteenth year of existence. The club now 'consists of 70 active members and 13 honorary members. It is hoped that during the coming session members will realise that on attendance at the Thursdav evening meetings depends the real success of the club. Although the bahncc-shcet shows a credit balance of ,£ls 12?. 6d. the receipts show a. considerable drop on previous years, owing principally to lack of donations and shrinkage iii receipts from tho billiard table. Thanks were extended to Mr. Edward Peaico for his donation of .£5. To the lato president. Rev. G. P. Davys, Dr. Kin»ton Fyffe, and Mr. J. W. Poynton for their interesting lectures, which were highly appreciated. Several, pleasant evenings "were spent in games competitions with Royal New Zealand Artillery, St. Thomas's and Roman Catholic Clubs. The meeting with St. Mark's Club was unavoidably postponed.
