M. Dolcas.se, Minister for Marino, replied that 12.2 in. guns had the same penetrating power at six thousand metres as 13.5 in. guns at nine thousaiul, but that the target was only vaguely visible at nine thousand metres, and it was rarely that ships were able to profit by longrange firing.
